THE MONSTER SQUAD

20th Century Pop! is a podcast that tries to understand the present by living in the past.  Each week hosts Bob and Tim take a sociological look at the pop culture of the '80s and '90s.  Its a ruining of their childhood that hopefully explains how they became adults.

RETRO SHOCK: “Nards another Teen Witch movie.” (1987) This is Halloween, that time of year where small town kids brandish silver bullets and cigarettes against an apocalyptic army of universal horrors. So, with membership cards in hand, Bob and Tim are calling on THE MONSTER SQUAD a 1987 teen comedy about staking vampires, detonating werewolves and enlisting your younger sister for a virgin sacrifice. Its an adventure like The Goonies … but not actually the Goonies.
