20th Century Pop! is a podcast that tries to understand the present by living in the past. Each week hosts Bob and Tim take a sociological look at the pop culture of the '80s and '90s. Its a ruining of their childhood that hopefully explains how they became adults.
POOP CULTURE: “Is that Richard Pryor in your pocket or is Barry Bostwick just happy to see me?” (1969-1989) We’ve all had to sit through an unexpectedly bad movie. The Rock. North. Mathew Perry’s filmography. But then there are some movies that we seek out BECAUSE they’re bad. Zardoz. Hudson Hawk. Matt LeBlanc’s filmography. But what is this attraction to terrible cinema that fills midnight screenings with the well-timed quips and recited quotes of a rampant fan base? Bob and Tim descend into the B, C and D grade depths of it all to dissect some of their favorite bad movies and see why they actually enjoy them.
